William Gerald “Gerry” Boydstun

November 30, 1961 — November 30, 2024

William Gerald "Gerry" Boydstun was born May 27,1962 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Bill and LaQuitta Boydstun. He died February 12,2025 in Edmond, Oklahoma. As a kid Gerry and his family lived in various states before landing in Edmond during his freshman year of high school.  Lucky for him, that is where he met the love of his life Tonya. The two started dating their sophomore year of high school and were married October 10,1981. They celebrated 43 years of marriage last October.

Gerry spent many years of his life driving a semi. He hauled milk for AMPI, brick for Acme Brick and ended his career as an owner operator for WG Boydstun Services.

Tonya and Gerry had two daughters, Gerika, and Kilee. They gave him seven grandkids which gave him his greatest title of all PAWPAW! On top of those seven he had many others that claimed him as their Paw as well.

Gerry enjoyed trips to Little Sahara, going to the gun range, traveling to hockey games, soccer games and dirt bike races. You could be sure that no matter the activity his grandkids were involved in he was their biggest fan!

Gerry is preceded in death by his father Bill Boydstun. His mother and stepfather LaQuitta and R.L. Persing. He is survived by his wife Tonya of the home. Daughter Gerika Hirsch and sons Hunter, Landon, and Lincoln of Edmond, OK. Daughter Kilee Lamb and husband Josh and children Baylee, Emma, Ryan, and Ransom of Norman, OK. Sister in laws Rhonda Penick, Debra Stevens, and Deanna Johnson. Niece Kacee Saenz and husband Joey and their children Jaxon and Shylee. Niece Shawna Johnson and sons Rhylan and Carson.

Gerry will be deeply missed by all who know him.

A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at Matthew's Funeral Home on Friday February 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM. His viewing will be held Thursday February 20, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
