William “Billy” Joseph Keohane, 46, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on September 19, 2025.
Billy lived a rich and vibrant life filled with creativity, service, love, and laughter. His brilliant personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A proud veteran, Billy enlisted in the Navy on September 12, 2001, and was deployed to Iraq, where he served as a Seabee. After his service, he pursued his passion for artistry and precision by training at Vidal Sassoon, mastering the craft of haircutting. His creativity and skill led him into the world of hair education, where he shared his artistry with countless students and clients. Billy created community and culture everywhere he went—from St. Augustine, Florida, to Dallas, Texas, to New York City, and most recently, Oklahoma City.
In addition to his work as a hairstylist and educator, Billy was also a gifted music producer and DJ, bringing joy, movement, and connection through his music. He touched countless lives in his too-short time on earth and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
At his core, Billy was soulful, witty, and overflowing with love. More than anything, he longed to be a father. After three years of hope and perseverance, that dream came true when he welcomed his daughter, Lucy, on September 11, 2025. Meeting her was the greatest joy of his life. He believed his wife, Lauren, was his soulmate, and together they shared a love that was truly extraordinary.
Billy will be remembered most for his quick wit, his sense of humor, and his ability to light up any room with his presence. He lived fully, gave generously, and shared his talents and creativity with the world. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
William is survived by his wife, Lauren Keohane, his daughter, Lucy Olivia Keohane, mother, Lydia Keohane; his father, William A. Keohane; his sister, Wendy Keohane; his grandmother, Rita Ippolitto; his godchild, Marlina Shepard; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
